Anybody out there have a connection to this highschool-type band from Fort Frances, Ontario?

I saw them at the Marks Street School gymnasium in Atikokan in the sixties after the province finally got the Noden Causeway across Rainy Lake and a highway through the bush to join the two towns. A ten-hour drive was whittled down to about a hour (previously east to the Shabaqua, north to Dryden, west to Kenora, south to Emo and east to Fort Frances).

I thought they were great because:

    1) they immediately used the new highway to bring their act to my town
    2) they all wore "shades" (sunglasses) while playing
    3) the bass player played with a handkerchief over his left hand to hide his "secret licks"
    4) during the drum solo in "Wipeout" the drummer played the bass guitar with his sticks.

    Any connection? Anyone?

If they didn't do a set in the intermission at the drive-in, I probably didn't see them. ;)

Never saw a band play at intermission. Was that a thing on the prairies?

More joking about the only entertainment venues being the drive-in or the curling rink.
