From my "secure" storage unit. Thief appears to have gained access through the ceiling wire fencing - not secured at the seams!! Sometime within the last month.
Anyway, the Hilgen doesn't work, the Marshall has been modded in a way that I would recognize.
    Any leads appreciated. Thanks.

    Nice first post, eh?

If the thief that stole your guitars or amps could post on this forum, I'm pretty sure it would be something like this:

"Would you guys stop posting these 'Stolen Guitars and Amps' threads. It makes it very hard for me to do anything with the stuff I steal. I can't sell it to anyone for the simple reason . . . if someone sees it because of these posts and reports it to the authorities, it can lead directly back to me. I can't even play it out anywhere for the same reason. I can use it at home but I already have stuff that I stole awhile back so I don't really need it. It would be much easier if you'd just mind your own business and stop making it so hard to get rid of this stuff"

I hope you get your amps back. I really don't like thieves.

    Thanks for your support folks.
I may have the Marshall serial number written down somewhere......
I can probably find a generic picture of the Hilgen online, I'll post it if I do.

Found some info on the Hilgen:

Mine has a chrome control panel, otherwise the same.

By the way, theft occurred in Scarborough, part of the GTA.

    Some good news!!

I found the Marshall in a local pawn shop, and after getting the police involved, I now have it back. It has a few wounds from its adventures, but I'll get it back in shape soon.

So that means that they have names & id's for the thieves, what happens next?

There has been an arrest for possession and transport of stolen property. It's difficult to prove the actual theft. It was at least 6 weeks between the time of the theft and my discovery that items were missing. I think the only reason the amp was still at the pawn shop is that it was way overpriced, and a little beat up looking. Glad to get this one back though. Of the two, this one does have some sentimental value.

No news of the Hilgen. As I mentioned above, at least 6 weeks had passed between the theft and my discovery of same. As the Hilgen was not working, my suspicion is that it deemed worthless and dumped. Sad end for this amp if that is truly the case.
