Ya that's the big issue when trying to supply details. Right now things are fine. But when it bogs down, it really bogs down.

I want to rule this out but could you try clearing your browser cache and logging back in?

So I just cleared the google cache, logged out of the site, restarted the computer, and logged back in. I hit the "like" button on your post first because that had been taking some time even. I'll edit this post once I reply to see if it's taking a longer than usual amount of time to post it. I'll include a random picture here as well as a link to how to clear cache in google jsut so the post is a little bit loaded.

EDIT: Well that was Slicker than Snot! Worked great. So I guess we should clear our cache once in a while eh!! Sorry for giving you heat as this is something I know but neglected to act on. Thanks @GCAdmin1 .

Seemed a bit sluggish when I came back after a bit. I'll let you know my forum experience after the weekend.

@GCAdmin1 That might be helpful if it was happening to one person, but it is happening to tons of people. I've cleared my cache, cleared my cookies, change my DNS server, nothing changes. One day it's fast, the next day it is impossible. And I see today that we have about 4 pages of spam. Just awesome, you have at least 20 Gold members paying by the year and complaining about the site, and your answer is to point out to one person to clear his cache? Seriously? This thread was started over two months ago!! Nothing has changed!! You came in here a few weeks ago and said that there was a memory problem and it was fixed, and for about 2 days it worked fine. Then it went all to garbage again and the best you can come up with is clear your cache... wow....

The problem is too many sites using the same IP address. It will not be fixed until some of the sites are moved off of this IP address or a better server that can handle the traffic is used. It may be the server is underpowered or it may be the network bandwidth. It is obviously not a memory problem. That would easily be solved by a competent technical team.

There are several people in this thread including myself that have worked in some aspect of web development or networking. This is not a caching issue.

However, if it keeps frustrating forum members and/or worsens, it might be a "ca$hing" issue

I am having site speed issues big time right now. 9:30 a.m., Toronto time. It's not my internet, I am working right now and having no issues elsewhere.

I thought I had better start reporting the slow times, others should do the same.

The first thing I wanted to rule out in his case was if it was a caching issue. If you see spam posts please report them so we can get more eyes on them to help get them removed. Other than locking registration there is no way to block potential spam accounts 100%. When there are speed issues it can be related to anything and without troubleshooting and trying to replicate the problem I cant tell what it is right away. If you are having site speed issues it will help to know if its happening all the time or just certain times of the day?

Yes please. Also if you are posting, browsing, trying to post attachments. What actions are causing the site to lag the most.

might help but things load slow if there is a bunch of you tube posts in the thread. ie what makes a complete solo thread . Go on a thread with none and things load up fine.

@GCAdmin1 Site very slow at 9:08 a.m. (Toronto time) today.
    Opening threads takes forever.
    Posting this took forever also.

I can confirm I was seeing issues again this morning. @GCAdmin1 you were asking about specifics, but when it's slow, everything is slow. The site is initially VERY slow to load, then tasks like posts and even just browsing threads will be slow. But the first sign I get that things are likely going to be slow is that initial loading of the site.
