My son has recently moved to Sarnia and is willing to transport items back and forth to Dundas if that helps anyone.
I work in Burlington so picking up there is also an option.

Ironically, I am presently looking into a Kijiji item for sale in Sarnia. If the seller will not agree to EMT, how is this best accomplished? Obviously, your son does not want to participate in any of the aspects of the financial transaction...especially if it is a significant amount of money.

In addition, if the seller would accept EMT, what is the best way to assure/"convince" the seller that someone is authorized to pick the item up on my behalf?

Would your son be OK with organizing the meeting place to pick up the item from the seller?

I have never done anything like this (i.e., a Kijiji deal from a distance with someone picking up the item for me) and (sometimes) even local Kijiji deals can turn into a nightmare.
I'm just trying to learn/sort out the typical/best process and logistics.

    Thanks

He does play, so guitars and amps are familiar to him. Not a lot for sale down that way but there are some good deals for sure.

I was replying to laristotle, in the meantime Greco posted.
As far as your deal goes, if the seller won't acept EMT the possibility exists of transferring the funds to him and having him pay cash to the seller.
Obviously this means a level of trust between all parties, but that's the beauty of a forum like this, helping each other out with GAS!
He's a mature kid at 20, he has a good job down there with a large manufacturing company as a welding inspector having finished the 3 year course at Conestoga this year.
As far as timing goes, he'll be up north with us this weekend but he's back and forth fairly frequently.
PM if you'd like to discuss further.
