Every once in a while, I take a peek at the obits in the New York Times. Their obituary listings tend to be more comprehensive than the usual high profile sources, and you find out about the folks you were familiar with, but got passed over in your local paper; especially people in the arts and sciences. Looking at today's, I was saddened to see that Tom Davis had passed away at 59 - https://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/20/a...dy-writer-dies-at-59.html?_r=1&ref=obituaries You may recall him from the Franken and Davis sketches on Saturday Night Live. If you look at the obit, do make a point of following up the link to an essay he wrote during his last few months about his hanging-on-through-cancer state. It will do much to remind you of what a sharp wit he was, and why he will be missed.
