Learned today that Mike Taylor (Beard Guy) from Walk Off The Earth died in his sleep last night. RIP Beard Guy. Walk Off The Earth is a great Canadian band.

Very sad, only 40 years young with 2 children.

My dad used to say, we Must Live with our bags packed. These uncommon incidences are sad.

After reading your post I considered the experiences I’ve had, the places I’ve visited, in general the life I have had for the last 18 years (since I was 40).

    Very sad.

I typically like @vadsy ‘s comments. However, To add a comment, I’d say that @Milkman was referring to what the contrast is between this young man’s life and his own. Totally normal and not now about him.

Happy new year all. Count your blessings.

I hate that band possibly more than any other. All of their songs sound like entries in a contest to write the theme song for the next Commonwealth Games. Still, I wouldn’t wish death on any of them. Especially at such a young age. Very sad indeed.

    May he rest in peace.

40 is young. I feel for his friends and family, having lost great friends and close family throughout my life.

Like Milkman, whose perspective I share, in the time since 40 there has been a lot of life, and a lot of life to share. Make the most of it my friends.

I've never heard of them before. I'll have to look them up. Too bad about that guy, 40 is awfully young to die from natural causes.

Yes look them up. Internet sensation gone big and well deserved (in today’s looking glass). (Meaning that our musical landscape is digressing. )

I like and respect WOTE. A band from Ontario became world famous by posting videos of cover songs on YouTube. (Often better than the original IMHO) That is awesome!

That’s the same reason I’m such a MASSIVE Justin Beiber fan.
