Enjoyed watching Captain & Tennille's TV show back in my pre-teen days. Besides "Love Will Keep Us Together", I also liked "The Way That I Want to Touch You" and "Do That to Me One More Time".

Years ago, I met someone who was connected to the distribution side of the music gear business. He told me that back in the '70s and '80s, when the Japanese synth makers would release a top-tier synth model, the one bearing serial number 1 would most likely be sent to either Stevie Wonder or Daryl Dragon. I thought it was a bit far fetched, but that acquaintance told me that besides being an extremely talented player on different instruments, Daryl Dragon was also well respected as an arranger. Before Captain & Tennille, he was the keyboard player for the Beach Boys.

Later on, I found out Dragon's father won an Oscar in the 1940s for Best Music of a Musical Picture. Most of Daryl's siblings were also musicians.

    R.I.P. Daryl Dragon
