Dano and I were talking last night who would be the third. I never knew him as an author of sci-fi but did as a poet. Where Robot Mice And Robot Men Run Round In Robot Towns | Modern Mechanix

RIP RAY your words were heard and remembered still though man may fail to tongue them on the tips of tail in grey matter will they sit and chatter and out our ear and eyes and finger will the effects ever linger.

    Very sad.

As a youth I was a bit of a bookworm, well, maybe more than a bit.

He was one of my favourite authors of short stories.

In fact lately I've started buying audio books (getting lazy I guess) and in the last two weeks I've listened to "A Sound of Thunder" and The Illustrated Man, both of which I read many years ago.

I loved his little twists and weirdities.

    RIP

As a kid I read many of his short stories. He was a master. RIP

He was one of my favourite authors in my youth as well. He wrote many tales, quite capable of warping a young lad's mind.

I've always been impressed by how many TV sci-fi scripts from Star Trek to the Twilight Zone were based on his stories.

Certainly condolences to his family & friends

However I would have guessed he had already died...

Still he's had a big influence on many writers, and entertained so many.
