I am after the following kind of Active DI for my acoustic:
    • 9V AC (not 48v phantom or battery powered)
    • 2 inputs TS 1/4" (for passive pickups)
    • gain for each channel (or blend)
    • 1 output (1/4" or XLR) with summed inputs
    • No EQ required
Suggestions? (Yes, the PZ Pre can do all that but I'd like something much simpler... if there's such a thing)

Combine a BOSS LS2 and a an active or passive DI? The BOSS would be 9V DC though, not AC.

Amazing DI, but only works on battery or phantom - no option for an external power supply.

I've recently acquired a Zoom A3. Still getting used to it.

Does your A3 send a super hot signal from the XLR out? Other than being kinda finiky to set up i like mine but the XLR out is just about unuseable. one place i played even with that channel down to zero on trim and fader there was still guitar coming through the mains. i end up going 1/4 out to a passive DI to the board instead which is too bad cuz adds an unnecessary step.

I haven't had the opportunity to use it this way yet, so I can't comment on that. Sorry.
