The online flyers are available to preview now.
I've scoured them for my local stores, but, nothing I'm after at the moment.

    Anything caught your attention?

I looked at the flyer and came to the same conclusion I always do: the word 'blowout' or 'liquidation' has no real meaning. To me, saving $30-50 dollars is a (mild) 'sale' rather than a blow out.

I saw an amp that I was interested in on the list for the Belleville store the other day when the lists first appeared. I was checking something else out on their list last night and noticed that the amp was no longer on there. Once the lists are posted they are not supposed to sell the stuff until the sale.

I got a text and followed the link where the first thing I saw was some 335 marked down to just shy of six thousand dollars from seven thousand something. My '72 was $1300, so pretty good deal if you think about it lol.

I saw a guitar that interested me and I contacted them if I could buy it now-their answer was for me to show up Friday morning first thing-I don't think so.

Seems the only decent deals are on their used stuff. Even then, I've seen better prices on CL.

The only store that has real "blowout" prices is Canadian Tire.

Yes a $400 set of wrenches are now $29. I think it's more "blown up out of proportion" sale.

There are a couple of good deals available, but none local to me. The sale is only Friday and Saturday so I will call Sunday to see if any of the guitars survived the sale. If so, I will order one in.

I looked at few of the stores that's within driving distance of me.
There's a few items marked 'this store only'. What's with that? Are the other items not there?

Yeah, what's with that? When I checked a couple of different stores here, it was as if their lists were almost identical??

Here here! Mastercraft tools are already comparable to other similarly priced tools. Their "blowout" deals and big annual sales prices are insanely good value. If you want to stock up your starter DIY shop, hit CT at the right time and you're set!

On a related note, I do want to point out that it isn't always the dealers' fault for never discounting the good stuff. Many manufacturers these days do not allow retailers to publicly advertise their products at discounted prices, even when the retailer is having a sale. So, there are some brand names out there whose items you will never see discounted below retail. Chances are the margins on those suck for the dealer anyways, so the dealer probably wouldn't want to discount them even if they could. But still, it's just good to be aware.

Are microphones a safe bet to buy used from L&M? I need to start recording my 'genius' to inflict on, I mean share with, the rest of the world. ;-)

Nothing really catches my eye locally. I'll drop by the Markham store about 15 minutes after opening to avoid the worst of the insanity, but still have a decent selection. these days I'm mostly looking for PA gear.

Yes. 30 day warrantee; and you can extend it indefinitely if you want to, but why would you - if it lasts 30 days, it should last forever with appropriate care. Some people like to sterilize the grille of used vocal mics, but realistically anything contagious will be long dead by the time you get it home.
