Gas has struck again ... reluctantly, I list this lovely Gibson 1959 Custom Shop Flying V in TV Yellow. You can see the grain through the TV yellow finish. At 6.5lbs this guitar RINGS LIKE A BELL! The Custom Buckers sound glorious! The neck is chunky but not crazy big. Bigger frets. The board has lots of nice colour. There is a little discolouring of the finish in a couple of spots.. probably from the case lining... hard to notice unless you look for it. I had a 2nd, white pickguard made... so you can go black or white... both included. Custom Shop Case, Certificate included. No trades please as I am chasing something grand! Drop $1000 to $4750... then if I don’t get a quick sale... keep in’ it! ... EMT is [email protected] Thanks for looking!

Ok ... we’re gonna drop $750 to $4995!!! I’m looking for a quick sale and if that doesn’t happen, I’ll keep this great guitar.
This V has the exact same construction and feel as a real 50s V... the only difference being the mahogany (and the colour, of course).
I’ve seen this same issue guitar weighing at least a pound more than mine. I feel that the 6.5lb weight gives it a tone and liveliness very similar to lightweight Korina, which is, after all, a species of mahogany.
This price is for a cash deal.

    Final drop to $4750 shipped...
If you’re interested, please don’t wait around too long as I will pull this if there’s a lack of serious interest... operators are standing by! :)

All correctly built... long tenon... correct details... notice the chevron grain - like a real 50s V. The 82/83 reissue had this dopey straight up and down grain orientation... this one is totally correct ... correct heel cap... notice the logo is Chrome... like on the originals. The 82/83 reissue was gold... duh. I’ve had a few of the original reissues, and this one kills it for tone and playability.
