Anyone that's ever been to a bar show in the HRM since the late 70s would know Roy's familiar face. He'd come strolling through every bar a few times a night selling roses. A singer too, he'd stop by many of the karaoke or open mic nights for a tune or two. Roy was a landmark of the HRM bar scene for over two generations. Roy passed last week after a breif battle with liver cancer. We held a big benefit show for him at the Parkside Pub upon news of his cancer, and he found out during surgery it was inoperable. He died 3 days after the benefit show. Rest easy Roy. Thanks for the supply of roses on every date and pick up attempt.
