    Hey everyone,

My friend Richard had his les paul studio and a DeWalt drill stolen out of his truck last night. Faded studios aren't as common, and this one has mis-matched knobs. Please keep an eye out if you're in South-Western Ontario!

Man that stuff irks me to no end. Especially guitars. These knobs have no clue what they mean to the owner.

I wish your friend luck in retrieving his guitar.

I'm sorry about the theft. I, like all honest people, loathe theives, and would never knowingly buy stolen property.

Any chance of a better picture? I honestly can't tell what it looks like at least on this iPad.

Looks like a goldtop with a distressed finish.

    Mike,

It is a faded series studio. It's a satin finish, kind of like the old walnut finishes I think they did. The tell-tale sign is the two different types of knobs on the guitar.

I hope this thread gets a lot of views (may post a link in the open mic section) because for all we know the thief may try and sell it outside of London. Our whole music scene knows about the theft at this point thanks to social media.

Sorry to hear about your friend having his guitar stolen. I hope he gets it back soon and in the same condition it was in before the scumbags took it.

I hope he gets it back soon. These losers have no idea how hard people for things that they just steal because they are lazy. It pisses me right off. I had my car stolen twice but got it back both times. Hopefully your friend is just as lucky.

another friend had a loaner acoustic stolen from his car in a parking lot in broad daylight yesterday. I don't have a pic or info of the guitar however.

Between my insurance broker and the musician's union, we're getting covered ASAP.

Just a tip for those going out in tour or new to gigging.

Most theft from bands occurs (in my experience) during load out or load in. ALWAYS have at least one guy at the truck and one guy in the bar. The other guys can bomb the stuff from the truck to the room and vice versa.

10 seconds in enough for someone to grab and run.
