Curious how they got stolen at a mall. What were they doing there? Why were they unattended?

Hmmm. I wouldn't leave my beloved axes in a freezing parked car in January (or a scorching car in August ftm). I DO feel for him though.

Dammit, another thieving scumbag on the loose. I hope he tries to sell them and gets caught allowing the guitars to go back to the rightful owner. Might be pretty tough for him to sell them...they don't exactly blend in! Dirtbag POS *^%$&^#&^%$ goof

Remind him not to leave his car unlocked while he's getting groceries.

Awesome news...glad to hear they made it home and the kid had the opportunity to do the right thing. I hope he learns from it...good on the old man for making him step up...but in a way the kid got off too easy.

I used to live in Waterloo and cannot figure out why the hell anyone would leave their car unlocked at the Stanley Park Mall.

So, a kid comes home with a new guitar and tells his parents, I found it, my buddy gave it to me, I bought it real cheap, etc. I wonder how many parents would question it. I would hope the answer would be "a lot" but I'm not sure these days. As you said. "good on the old man for making him step up".
