Hi I’m an Aussie visiting for a month and recently saw add in Australia for a 2003 Seagull Artist Studio Rosewood Spruce. Asking $1500 Canadian
Any thoughts if this is a realistic price and thoughts on quality of this guitar generally .
Back to a burning country next week lots of Canadian firefighters helping out! Thanks

I think they went for that much new?

Find out the new price and offer 70% of that. Less if it's a bit worse for wear.

    Good luck!

Have tried to find prices of used guitars but difficult to find and like to confirm the original price from other sources rather than the seller
Getting the serial no is starting point ?
    Any ideas?

Call the nearest long and mcquade and ask what it sold for.

I have a seagull artist that i scored in a pawnshop many years ago for $150. They did know what they had there and it was a major score. Great guitars IMO. I would dig around a bit and get an idea of what they are going for in the used market.

I think the keyword is Rosewood.
My Seagull Performer CW QIT (non rosewood) cost me some 800$ CAD brand new at L&M last year.

    I agree with @Budda words.

Keep in mind he's talking about a price in Australia--many things end up being more expensive due to the cost of getting it there.
So if the price in Australia is higher than here in Canada, that's not surprising.

On the other hand depending on what is available here & the cost to ship it home, it might be a good deal.

The serial number is not going to help you determine what the guitar is worth.

All good here The fires are random. The folk affected are desperate for people to visit their area so they remain viable. Still a great place to visit; thanks for advice Murphy’s is available in t the states
