I'm gonna keep this short (ha!). You're kicking yourself this morning - you missed that Gibson Midtown Custom previously owned by Davetcan. "Damn!" you say out loud. "Dave has the sweetest stuff!'

Well, you're in luck. Next up in the Davetcan Deliverables is my Epiphone Supernova, formerly owned by Davetcan and formerly signed by Noel Gallagher of Oasis (or by his Autopen/personal signature machine - like POTUS, Noel is so busy he had to get one of these). I honestly don't know which is more significant - owning a guitar formerly owned by Davetcan the famed CGF Moderator, or owning a guitar formerly signed (automatically but in a heartfelt manner) by Noel Gallagher. Why choose? With this beauty, you can have both!

I traded this with Davetcan for my Guild Starfire IV, which has since graced the cyber-pages of this forum and gone off to another lucky member, now carrying the provenance of being a Davetcan original.

    A few choice deets:
    • this is a very dangerous guitar (should carry an Auditor General's warning). I found it so sweet that it created in me a vintage ES 3#5 lust, which I'm now trying to indulge. (Thanks a lot Dave - I'm gonna send you an invoice!)
    • sounds great, plays great, looks great - seriously
    • 8 pounds, 3.6 ounces (remember my scarily accurate scale)
    • made in April 2005 in the Unsung plant in Korea (I'm not touching "Unsung" other than for fans of The Office, it's eerily reminiscent of Dwight Schrute's "unshun, reshun" monologue with Andy Bernard; okay, my kids are addicted and I happened to re-see this episode again yesterday)
    • excellent condition, clean as a whistle, comes with what I believe to be the original hard case in similar condition (I'm only mildly OCD)
    • here's some totally unconflicted info - EPIPHONE NOEL GALLAGHER SUPERNOVA electric guitars
Check out the awesome pics below. And don't ask me about any of that other stuff - it's all Davetcan's. (I have some of my own pics but, as you can guess, it looks better as a Davetcan original.)

Yours for only $800 plus shipping if needed.

    See how short that was?

I don't see this thread going too well for me.

That is indeed a VERY good guitar though.

    On the contrary.
Having a davet guitar in one's corral will now become quite collectable. think.gif :D

If there weren't so many out there you might both be right.

You're gonna keep this short? That's a bloody "borderline essay"! Nice guitar though.

Is it hollow like a Sheraton or more like an ES335?

A Sheraton has a centre block. Maybe you are thinking of a Casino.

Yes, I was thinking of the Casino. I always thought the Sheraton was an upgraded Casino but now I know its an upgraded 335 (meaning, bound headstock etc..).
    Nice guitar!

I am delighted to have the opportunity to respond to a question with respect to any instrument I'm selling, much less a DTC Original! (My track record in selling anything on this forum is beyond absymal - I seem to have the dubious distinction of being able to acquire many, many things that no one else will ever want. That's why I'm hoping that the DTC provenance of this particular instrument, which if being sold by anybody else would be SNAPPED UP, may help me to move it. Do you think Davetcan's name will carry any weight on Kijiji?)

S0, where were we? Right - centre block. It definitely has a centre block (when I drilled through the back, it was a quick plunge left and right of centre but a solid excavation down the middle - okay, that was a joke!). You can see it through the f-holes and umpteen forums and websites confirm it. I cannot, sadly, advise that it was put there by Davetcan but at least it wasn't taken out by Davetcan. I believe it is a mahogany block (that's a clincher right there - you can use it to repair the dining room table, if nothing else).

Now if all of the above doesn't make you absolutely HAVE to buy this guitar . . . I totally get it.

Don't quote me on this, but I may be able to arrange that (don't mention it to Davetcan just yet though - let's strike a deal first).
