Perhaps the most famous former con-man in the world talks about his life. Fascinating!

Frank Abagnale was the subject of Stephen Spielberg's movie Catch Me If You Can, about a youth who fled his divorce-broken home and spent years impersonating occupations (pilot, lawyer, doctor) and becoming a very successful cheque-fraud artist. After being caught and serving time, he joined the FBI and is one of their top experts on cybercrime and security.

In the video he talks about some of his criminal capers, talks about his moral redemption (not religious, moral) and his compass, and then answers some questions with very interesting information about current security risks that all of us face.

Entertaining, funny, and concerning (he says that credit / banking related crimes are easier now than they were 40 years ago).

Surprised that this hasn't generated any comments. Those who think they know Frank Abagnale's story too well can skip ahead to Q&A in the latter half of the presentation, where he makes some interesting points about the security of our money systems today.

He used to have a syndicated radio show back in the (late 70's? early 80's?), 3-5 minute bits that told of his exploits, him narrating. So I knew lots about him before the movie (which is also great) ever came out. My daughter's bf has promised to bring over the book on which the movie is based for me to read.

Haven't had time to watch the vid above yet.
