The founder of Groove Tubes.
Aw man, that's another smart one gone. I have two of his tube amp books. Before the web came along, they were the definitive source of tube amp schematics.
Apparently he lost control of his car.
Yes. I bought the small thick paperback book in the early 90s. I was into tube hifi back then and schematics for tube amps were not easy to find.
I later sold that book, but then lucked out on the giant picture version a few years ago at a used book store. Of course the internet has changed everything but I still look through that book once in a while.
Aspen was swell dude. I used to rep Groove Tubes back in the early nineties and we went to the Groove Tube factory, also brought him up to Toronto and London to do some clinics.
He was always happy and straight ahead. quite the inventor too. He will be missed.
