Used Aerodyne J Bass from L&M. Someone must have dug this thing! It has an aguilar P pickup (guessing the 4P-60) and a Babicz bridge. It's also pretty light - lighter than the vintage modified Squier I got earlier this year.
@keto gifted me a black Babicz bridge, which will be going on this bass. I'm passing on the gift and sending the chrome one to my brother in Ottawa for his new CV Jazz.
I was actually a hired gun for a summer! Only time I've made real money playing aside from lessons hahaha. I want to be able to track decent demos and ideas at home, and bass gigs are more plentiful should I take it seriously.
I'm also just trying to get motivated to pick something up.
Nice. I have a slightly modded Aerodyne, it’s a joy to play. One of my favourite necks, and the stock pups are fine. I had that bridge on mine briefly, but stole it back for another bass.
Yeah, they are such a pretty bass, everyone always ooohs and aaahs, and it sounds and plays great stock, with a really nice neck profile. I put different knobs on mine but went back to stock, they just work.
The slightly thicker gauge probably made an impact, but it is very loud unplugged. I like the feel of them as well. Im glad I didnt bother to install the bridge myself as I would have gotten very frustrated.
Taking it to my friends along with the JM to record some song ideas for kicks tomorrow. Looking forward to playing both of them!
