Ocd v4

So I just got an OCD v4 a couple of weeks ago. Is anyone else finding a volume issue? Compared to my other pedals this doesn't have the same punch. Maybe all my other od's are just set loud lol. But my settings right now to hang with the other od's are level at 3 o'clock, gain at 11 and tone at 1. I also put it on the HP setting.

Are you running the OCD with 18 volts. Its supposed to help in that department.

I think the v4 has a different volume pot than the previous OCDs. I think it's the pot's logarithmic value that's been changed, which makes it sound quieter on the low end of the knob than you're used to.

There's nothing wrong with the pedal, it was designed that way. Check this site out.

You might find that, but compared to the other versions, it's a bit quieter. Here's a pretty good youtube demo comparing the 4 versions.

I find v4 to be quieter than some of my other pedals too...just turn it up...sounds great. I have no trouble getting a little better than unity levels on HP mode with volume and gain knobs at around 11 oclock or so. It will get quite a bt louder from there.

Yeah, some people think that just because it's not crazy loud right away, that it's not a good pedal. The tone is still there, you just need to turn it up. And honestly, when's the last time a guitarist complained about turning UP???
